A PAID HOME-STAY IN IRELAND:  TRAVEL TO IRELAND and stay with an Irish host family. Experience the warmth of an Irish welcome. Students will be totally immersed in the daily lives, language and culture of their host family and participate in the daily activities of the family. This is an ideal way for young students to experience a stay abroad , in the heart of an Irish host family. The homestay offers a 'Home away from Home'  experience , a cultural and language immersion in a safe and supportive family environment. 
​Students do  not attend school or a particular English language course. Summer is an ideal time to explore  this option.  Students learn informally in a fun way with their host family. Your child is taken in hand from arrival to departure , we arrange 'meet and greet' on arrival in the Irish Airport and also arrange transfer back to the airport and check-in assistance for departure.

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMME IN IRELAND:
These programmes are ideal for students who have already studied the English language for a few years and have enough competence to attend school in Ireland. Students will be placed according to age and ability.  Coming to Ireland and studying here during the Irish school year  is a guaranteed way of enhancing skills in the English language while also pursuing an academic programme. We offer short and long term school stays , school term or full school year in Ireland for foreign students. We use public schools and most schools are mixed schools catering for both boys and girls. 
During our school stay programme foreign students are accommodation is homestay, with one of our carefully selected Irish host families. It gives a unique opportunity to experience family life and avail of all of the benefits of  an academic year in our high school abroad programme.

SUMMER PROGRAMMES IN IRELAND:  Summer programmes in Ireland are programs are extremely popular foreign students. They  are an ideal way of using the long summer holidays to progress English language skills in a fun way in a safe environment. Every year we welcome young learners from France, Spain, Germany and Austria. We have programmes to suit children and teenagers. The Homestay Immersion  Programme is  ideal for junior students or two friends travelling together. Our Irish host families live in small towns and villages away from centres hosting many international students. They offer a rich opportunity for a cultural immersion participation in daily family life , local activities or outings.
For students interested in sports, horseriding, football  etc we are unique in offering options of participating in local summer camps and mingling with many local Irish children. These camps are facilitated in English with very few international participants. For International students looking for a break away from city life and technology we offer our farm stay programmes. 
Whatever your reasons for choosing  a homestay in Ireland you can look forward to all the benefits of the studying abroad experience, using your visit to Ireland productively while exploring a new culture, gaining in confidence and having fun. 


ACCOMMODATION: All accommodation is provided by selected host families. We visit and arrange Garda vetting all of our host families. 

COORDINATOR SUPPORT: We are an Irish registered business and our local coordinators are available throughout the stay. We arrange meet and greet on arrival and airport transfers. 

FLIGHTS AND AIRPORT TRANSFERS: Flights are not included in any of our programmes. SCHOOL YEAR IN IRELAND. ACADEMIC LANGUAGE STAY IN AN IRISH HIGH SCHOOL

Ages:The Secondary School Programme to Ireland is open to international students between the ages 12 and 17 with a reasonable level of English. 
School Types: Public day schools. These may be large schools with over 1,000 students or small schools with as little as 120 students.
Many schools are catholic ethos , others may be non denominational.

Accommodation: Host family accommodation
Students living with a host family gain a thorough understanding of Irish culture through  while continuing their education at a local secondary school. They also receive support and assistance with many day to day aspects of school life from their host family
School Uniform: School uniform is worn in all secondary schools, and is compulsory.
Support: Airport meet and greet on arrival and  transfers.  Assistance with purchase of school uniform and school books.
Follow up with our local coordinator within the first week with further follow up within the first month and term.  
Ongoing contact with our local coordinator is available the student for the duration of the programme.
Locations: Students must show a flexible attitude and be prepared to be located anywhere in Ireland including rural locations.
Dates: Register in January or February for the following August/September, late places may be available but early booking is advised. 
For short stays commencing at other times, we accept applications all year round , but availability is limited.

Length of stay: International students may want to spend a gap year in Ireland or students may wish to study for just a few weeks in an Irish secondary school. Ideally students should arrive at the beginning of the school year but some schools can accommodate international students at different times of year and also allow shorter stays  from 4 weeks  to a school term.  School terms are  August up to Christmas break,  January to Easter holidays, post Easter to the last week in May. State exams take place in June and non exam students are on summer holidays from the last week in May to the last week in August generally.  Students must return home for the Christmas and Easter holidays. Many of our international students will join TY, but the year and class placement is totally at the discretion of the school. 
Transport to school: Many students use the public school bus transport scheme if living more than 3 km from the local school.
Otherwise the transport by private bus or car.
Outings and visits: Outings or trips may be booked in addition to the basic school and home-stay package.
Application Process: Please complete a student application form. Each application for a school place must be accompanied by an application
fee of €200. When we receive your application form we will issue an invoice which will give details of the payment method. 
What is included in the programme
  • Full board and lodging with a host family or in residence, for the duration of the academic semester or year.
  • All host families are visited and Garda vetted. .
  • Enrolment in a local Secondary School ( Contact us for price for private schools)
  • Return transfers from the recommended arrival airport to the host family or school residence.
  • Support of our  the local coordinator
  • 24 hour emergency telephone support from CNH
What is not included in the programme
  • Flights
  • Independent travel costs for any day trip away from the host family.
  • Supplies for school (stationery, pens, school bag etc.), uniform and text books. Students will be helped their selection on arrival according to the book list issued by their school. Some schools use e books. Students staying for short periods or in TY generally do not need to buy school books. 
  • Pocket money (approx. €250 per month recommended) for personal use on items such as clothing, cinema, cosmetics and all phone calls and internet use.
  • Costs for any school trips or excursions, transition year programme costs, gym or sports memberships.
  • Accompanied Sightseeing / outings can be arranged for the student e.g Trip to Aran Islands, Bunratty Castle, Day trip to Dublin, water sports , horse riding, cultural events , theatre, music events. These are optional extras not included in the basic price.
  • Cost of transportation from host family to school.

The Camp: This camp has been organised for many years and is very popular among Irish children with an interest in the performing arts.
A small number of foreign students may present. The camp is run in the English language.
The Theatre camp takes place in a prestigious theatre in Midlands/ East of Ireland , and is fully supervised by trained staff.
Our 'Theatre ' Summer camp is a Music, Dance, and Acting  Summer Camp for children and teenagers aged 5-16.
This camp has an excellent reputation and has been running for several summer and easter programmes as well as organising onoing events in the arts and theatre world.
It is ideal for students with an interest in theatre, music, dance and acting. The camp is organised and run in the English language, and has a small number of international students in attendance who benefit immensely both linguistically and artistically.
Activities: 
During this fun filled adventure strong and enduring friendships are formed. Participants get to showcase their talents and always come away with a host of important skills, which last a lifetime and extend far beyond the stage. Children improve and develop their skills in singing, dancing, acting, public speaking, comedy and many other aspects of stagecraft. The camp also has a great impact on their command of spoken English.
